DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS RELATING TO YOUR AVIATION MEDICAL EXAM?Are you getting ready to apply for an airman's medical and you have a medical condition that you are not sure would allow you to qualify? Or, has something changed since your last Airman's Medical that could be questioned by your AME? Would you like to ask a question to an AME and remain anonymous? (Aren't we all just a little afraid that if we ask our AME about a medication that our non-aviation physician has prescribed, he will immediately ground us)
Here is your chance to ask that question. Dr. David Bryman, International Senior Aviation Medical Examiner for the FAA, has formed an Aeromedical Advisory Committee and has offered adivsory services to members of the Arizona Pilots Association through this website. Revealing you name is optional, but if you want an answer to your question you will need to provide an email address. When you submit your question (hit the submit button at the bottom of the form) your completed form will go as a confidential transmission directly to the personal computer of Dr. David Bryman. Every effort will be made to keep your information as confidential between you and Dr. Bryman and his Aeromedical Advisory Committee.
Aeromedical Advisory Committee for Arizona Pilots Association
The Aeromedical Advisory Committee consists of Aeromedical Specialists that are experienced in Civil Aviation Medicine and FAA airmen medical certification. The purpose of the committee is to review cases and questions relating to medical certification, for pilots that are members of APA .
The committee will also serve on the Board of Directors to update the APA on relevant medical issues affecting private non professional pilots.
The Aeromedical Advisory committee ( AAC) has the needed information regarding what information will be needed to process special issuance of airmen medical exams: such as pilots that have Diabetes, Asthma, Cancers, Heart Disease, Sleep Apnea and so on.
The AAC will be chaired by Dr David Bryman, who is an International Senior Aviation Medical Examiner for The FAA, Transport Canada, and The JAA.
