"Thunder over the Coconino" Fly-In
SPONSORED BY EAA Chapter #856
Saturday, August 23, 2008; 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
$10.00 per plane (Includes entrance fee for Planes of Fame Museum) 
Grand Canyon Valle Airport, 40G (just 25 miles south of Grand Canyon!)
(Overnight accommodations are available at area hotels, motels, and campgrounds)
Friday Night: Early arrival BBQ - Open to all @ $6.00 per person

October 11, 2008 Tucson International 60th Birthday Party

  It will be 50 years for the control tower, and 50 years since the beginning of the FAA.  So, a big party is planned.  Static displays, booths from Arizona Pilots Association, a film fest, the Border Patrol, the 99's, CAP, and many more.  A marching band will kick off the event at 9 AM and it will go until 3 PM.  Some fly overs but no air show since this is still a business day.

November 7-8 Sierra Vista Airport Days

Chapter 776 will fly Young Eagles on both mornings. Friday is a airport field trip for schools in the area and will have hands on events for them. Saturday morning will have a pancake breakfast from 0800-1100, Young Eagles flights and is open to the public. Both days will have static displays
