Joint the APA and friends in Young Arizona (24AZ) for Labor Day weekend, starting on Friday September 1st!

Temps are already cooling and Young comes alive over the Labor Day weekend, with the plenty of activities. This was an incredible event last year and we expect the same this year! 

As always expect an incredible dinner at the Antler's for those interested on Friday and Saturday. We will once again have transportation to and from town. 

The Pleasant Valley Historical Society Museum, located next to the "Cowboy" church, will be open Saturday and Sunday. If you are interested, please contact Vern for tickets for Saturday eveining's Pioneer Women event September 2, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Young Cemetery and Baptist Church. There is limited seating for dining at the Baptist Church, so it will be very helpful if tickets are purchased by August 26(or at least reserved).  Tickets are $25 per person, and all proceeds benefit the Historical Society.  The Blumer, Cline, Gillette, Haught, Joy, Sparks, and Thurlo families will be highlighted.  Presentations will start promptly at 5:00 at the various sites in the cemetery.  Pulled pork and beef (courtesy of Scott and Pam Tompkins at the Antlers) will be the main course.  The event will be informative and entertaining! The annual Sweet Corn Festival and chili cook off is also taking place in the community center on Saturday. Judging takes place by 4:00PM. Call Dave Halversob 928-970-1530 if you'd like to enter your recipe!
